Welcome!
Welcome and thank you for your interest in Augustinian Academy! You have found one of the best hidden gems in the North Country! As one of a long line of Sisters of St. Joseph whom has taught or administered at this school since 1866, I am so proud of our little school that offers big school opportunities for all of our students. We offer a competitive education with a Catholic foundation for students starting in PreK 3 through 8th grade. Small class sizes, expert teachers and a focus on a rigorous, standards-based curriculum that stresses hands-on activities in STEM, the humanities and sports/fitness help our students to rise above the crowd, enriching each child with the best well-rounded education possible. We teach the whole child spiritually, mentally and emotionally.
In the midst of current headlines spotlighting parent concern over school curricula and perceived decline in respectful conduct among students in schools, parents are faced with tough choices to make. Homeschooling has become a more popular option, but one parent may have to leave the work force. Augustinian Academy offers another choice. I think of it as the “neighborhood choice,” a small school with all of the social interaction students need to learn to work and interact with their neighbor. Our students are taught a love for God and how that love is lived out in the way we treat ourselves and others with dignity and respect. They learn to use our God-given gifts and talents for the betterment of our communities and our world.

It is my prayer that through our students, families, faculty and staff we continue to build in our children, a strong foundation of Academic Excellence grounded in the Catholic faith which they will take with them to change the world!
May God bless you and I hope to see you in person soon!
